A bench scraper is a flat piece of metal with a handle, and that simplicity is exactly why it is useful. It can divide dough, lift chopped vegetables, scrape sticky flour from a work surface, and move a pile of ingredients into a bowl without using the edge of a good knife.
It is one of those kitchen tools that earns its space by doing several small jobs well. A broad stainless-steel blade with a comfortable handle is usually all you need.
Automotive
Gear oils often contain sulfur-phosphorus extreme-pressure additives designed to protect heavily loaded gear teeth, and those compounds have a distinctive sharp odor.

Closing one application clears only that program’s state. A full restart also resets operating-system services, drivers, memory allocation, radios, and hardware initialization.

A thicker extension cord has lower electrical resistance, which matters more as the cord gets longer or the load gets heavier. The gauge number works backward: 12 AWG is heavier than 14 AWG, and 14 AWG is heavier than 16 AWG.
For lamps and small loads, a light cord may be perfectly adequate. For heaters, large tools, or long runs, heavier cable reduces voltage drop and unnecessary heating.
